Agile, rapid and vanguard is the successful formula by which Craft Engineering over a period of thirty years has consolidated its reputation for excellence in the Brazilian civil construction market. The company was founded in 1977, initially focused on the lease of equipment and pneumatic tools for the construction industry. Headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, 100% Brazilian share capital, Craft today also incorporates divisions that specialize in construction, heavy construction, road surfacing, earthworks and site decontamination.

The equipment lease division, which today offers a full range of modern equipment - tractors, excavators ,bulldozers, graders, backhoe-loaders , vibratory asphalt compactors , gave rise to the residential and industrial civil construction division. The need to develop infra-structure in their own projects has led Craft to the acquisition of earthwork equipment activities which have grown quickly into a separate division, enabling the company to offer this service to third parties. In 1988 with the inauguration of the new road surfacing division in order to ensure quality standards Craft acquired a gravimetric asphalt plant.

Continuing the natural cycle of complementing the services offered by the company, Craft established a separate division for demolition, mechanized concrete demolition and mechanical dismantling, as well as the decontamination of industrial areas being deactivated, incorporating in this activity technology for the treatment of environmentally hazardous materials.

Through the company's ability to analyze and forecast trends in civil construction industry, by supporting and sponsoring the search for new methods and materials, Craft has been able to meet its customers' demands, earnt respect in the market and become a company of reference in its areas of activity.
